It's my first Home Made, but I've been to Dresden a lot, to the KulturgüterSchuppen, ... from Linz, Austria. I'll be working with Uwe & Ralph on dBatteryMusic, Claude is bringing me something to solder, and of course I'll have sound tools to make music and play live. I'll be there on Sunday evening! Glad to see you all!

Me, I experienced Retreats with Maya, Marc and Urs, as well as more than one HomeMade and I am grateful for.

I bring an (indoor/outdoor) painting workstation to balance soul body and mind for the ones who like to color up. And if the lasercutter comes along (not urgent but of interest), I cut sound patterns in my paintings and build a soundscape. Just got a mixer plus a box and plenty of piezos and cables. That makes exploring about mixers, piezo networks and materials. Looking forward to meet sparring partners and workshops.
With us are coming paddle boards, an air castle, latex weather balloons ... and a set of tools for kids (&adults) workshops for printing and painting with Nature and recycling Materials, happy to be developed with interested ones together at Wartburg.
Wondering if a flea market for DIY build projects and all kind of parts might of interest? Saturdays? I’m interested to collect certain projects and give away some others, anyone else? ( – sorry this should be at the other plattform I guess, but I miss the group on telegram, being not ready yet – but in wiki I can now participainting, juhee..) Looking forward to grow with you at this HomeMade Festival.
Johann
I was invited by maja and am super grateful to be able to take part in Homemade 2025! I have no real experience in soldering and am looking forward to learning a few basics.
El RIDO
Even though I live close to the Bitwäscherei I rarely manage to drop by. I'd like to bring my Behringer MS-1 and TD-3 Synths and finally practice and learn to use them properly - hope I can glean some tips and tricks from more knowledgeable synth-players.
Will also bring some Wifi-capable ESP8266 and ESP32 microcontroller boards and various sensors to toy with and a notebook with my software projects. I can offer to hold a workshop or ad-hoc sessions to introduce folks to programming microcontrollers using Arduino IDE or Platform.io using C/C++, as well as CLI tools or webservices using Python or Rust, if anyone is interested.
Would also enjoy going for hikes or a swim in the lake.
Ralf S.
Together with Uwe S., we are continuing to work on the DBM (death battery music) synthesizer. We are also continuing the Stepper-Motor-Synth Project from last Homemade 2024...
Liora
I will bring my work with mycelium and I would like to work on combining it with electronics/music. Potentially in collaboration with people from Hackuarium Lausanne. Otherwise join/run workshops and learn new things, enjoy the area, meet interesting people, I will let myself be surprised! Also I will be cycling there from Lausanne area, but maybe not all the way. We will see

Musicsculpturevideoglitchmediaartcircuitbendingetc. lkjsaehöfoj!
I'm gonna bring a nice collection of my circuit bent audio and video things to work on, show off, and play.
PROJECTS!
Aaaah too many, still sorting!
I'll probably bring my Gl0tchbl0K-PS2, for making it even glitchier. Maybe also some HDMI video gear to circuit bend. Or one of those Repeater Walkmen that I've tried to circuit bend for ages. Or I'm gonna find something spontaneously.
WORKSHOP!
I'll bring a bunch of Kiddiecams for you to circuit bend in a fun, but terrifyingly fiddly workshop. If you wanna join, please consider bringing a micro SD card up to 32 Gigs and a willingness to go through SMD soldering Hell!
https://schaefersimon.de/portfolio/crazycams/
Also, I'll bring a bunch of my Gl0tchpatches, that make circuit bending TSOP-50 or TSOP-54 RAMs A LOT easier. If you plan bending anything involving those chips, I can help!
LOOKING FOR!
Code buddies. Quite a few of my projects involve code, but I can't for the life of me concentrate on that shit. So if you can help me with a thing or two, I'd be super greatful!
Michi from [ a n y m a ]
I will bring the latest prototype of the Aetzbox-Mark II (diesmal vielleicht sogar dicht ™) mobile circuit etching kit for endurance testing. https://github.com/mirdej/etchingbox Also the newest Peepsy-Pro boards for an easy and rewarding SMD soldering workshop (also for beginners!). Another workshop: I have been doing quite some wireless communication between various ESP32 using ESP-NOW and would love to present the „Agora“ - an Arduino library I am working on that simplifies pairing of ESP32s and communication. https://github.com/mirdej/Agora
I could need some help getting a small Xcode project to compile (again).
ronnie
Trying to progress at my re-construction of https://gregdavill.com/posts/d20/ . i.e. mostly coding FPGA, ESP32 or working on a new PCB for the controller. Preview is here https://youtube.com/shorts/XpgeAQI-wB0?si=S_PH34zEw6hdlLZc
Rachel
I am still active in Hackuarium, although Esther is president of the Association now. https://wiki.hackuarium.ch/w/User:Rachel
Looking forward to telling you something about my worm genetics project, our mycelia for bees project, the lake water quality project, and trying to get the old 'mossophone' up and running for our upcoming 'version 2' of the old Living Instruments project at Hackuarium, during this special Summer Camp... (We were invited to do a special event at a local museum for 'la Nuit des musées' here in late September! =) I got the Capacitance sensor to work well with the moss, but wonder if we can find an easy way to make this 'data' set off sounds together? (Our sound guy, Robert, uses a special MaxMSP patch for sounds, but I don't have this...)
Wondering if anyone is interested in getting mycelia plates (Fomes fomentarius, Panellus stipticus ?) ? Bringing x2 'biomaterial hearts' made with those mycelia on birchwood (from the #mycelia4bees project) to put up and see if the bees come, and x8 oFoldscope kits to make together...
Will come for just the first two nights, with Esther and Pauline (new bioart member esp keen on the mycelia), and were planning to put more info in here, but... Let's see.
Planning to bring some extra fun synthesizers, and some LED things, made with Mitch Altmann, too...
Thanks in advance, and think it will be great to be back for a summer camp with you!
Gabrielle
Coming from London, hoping to make new electronic music machines, jams with small groups of people, recording music with small groups of people and hiking and walking. I am bringing my set-up which is a saxophone, underwater microphone, and pedals etc. I studied cognitive neuroscience and have brain data (MRI and EEG), and access to mental health assessments. I am also a piercer and will bring some piercing equipment and happy to give some free piercings (lobes, rook, conch, eyebrow, helix, belly button) and maybe to try to use needles in a project some how.
Aaron
As a Bitwäscherei resident, I have the possibility to bring a lot of stuff, and I'm Happy to share :)
Among many other things, I'm into RC-controlled toys and will try to focus on ships – On water (sailboat) and air (Led Zeppelin).
I'll bring:
- My work computer. (If you have a question about lasercutters - that counts as work :))
- A small 5W diode laser, capable of cutting cardboard and wood
- A Galvo Fiber laser for metals (Gweike G2 Pro) -> to mark your tools or etch PCBs.
- A small desktop CNC mill
I'll give workshops on how to use them, if wanted! ◡̈
- Two filament 3D printers from Bitwäscherei and loads of filament.
- An SLA 3D printer and tough resin to print MIT "toroidal propellers"
- The box of epoxy resins, fiberglass and carbon to do repairs or build new models.
- A bunch of Radio-Control receivers, flight controllers, servos, FPV cams..
- The ceramics kiln (Only, if Abao makes me do it)
- Corinna's sewing machine to make a Spinnaker for the sailboat
Looking forward to an unforgettable, wild camp!
Corinna
I'm really excited for my first time at Home Made - big thanks to ronnie for showing me the ropes! I've only really dabbled a bit in electronics, to be honest. I've done some soldering at a Maker Faire or CCC, and a few DIY kits.
I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into a small personal project, having a bit of a play around and picking up some tips from everyone on site.
My project: It's a cute little nightlight with an MP3 player built in. It's got warm, dimmable LED lighting in a lion-shaped design, and simple button controls for playing music. Songs are stored on a SD card that you can swap in and out, and everything runs completely offline. It's powered via USB-C or battery. Great for a kid's room or as a thoughtful DIY gift.

Toru & Azusa
We had a camp (合宿) with Marc in Okinawa back in April 2020. But as you know, many programs were canceled, Five years later, we're finally here! We'd love to learn more about this kind of camp and hope to create our own version in Japan. We're super interested in so many things: medicinal herbs, weeds, soil, minerals, plants and noise, electricity, frequencies, electromagnetic waves, geomagnetism, and life at sea! We're planning to use noise and molecular gastronomy techniques (like espuma!) to host a traditional Okinawan tea ceremony. also going to make some special things with traditional grass weaving techniques!

We spent a few days at Hommade, meeting old friends and getting to know many new people through their projects. We offered relaxing experiments with cyano on paper and textiles and brought along the ingredients for the *Ultimately Custom Hommade Bag*.
After all the rain a few days before, mushrooms were sprouting in the forests around Wartburg... on a mushroom hunt, we came across the giant porcini mushrooms.

Not so much ↯↯↯ this time, except maybe for the high voltage ignition inside the combustion chamber of my attempted jet engine. So when not doing maths and physics I mostly prepared and tried to get the engine self sustaining. Assumptions why this failed, and lots of take aways is written in the HOME MADE 2025 Fields Of Results.
And in the night time camp fire when other people (only) burnt the lacquer of beer cans I tuned the fire a bit such that it would burn the beer cans (aluminium!) themselves.
