About

The Homemade summercamp is a week that is open for beginners as well as experts and everyone in between interested in exploring ideas or creating objects for sound, light or movement.

The participants can bring their individual projects or work in groups and get inspired by art related topics. During this self-organized research week we will do workshops and talks, run experiments, cook & eat together, there will also be time for party and relaxing.

Workshops

Workshop eines VCO für das Eurorack von Willi (klangbauköln.de)

Um was geht es: Ein vollwertiger VCO der auf Basis eines Sinus Oszillators arbeitet. Aus dem Sinus werden dann die Wellenformen: Rechteck und Sägezahn abgeleitet. Dieses Waveshaping basiert auf FM. Die Transformation zu den anderen Schwingungsformen kann CV gesteuert werden. Weiteres siehe auf meiner Seite: https://klangbauköln.de/2024/03/18/harmonic-vco/ Im Workshop müssen zwei Platinen und die Frontplatte miteinander zusammengebaut werden, einige THT Bauteile gelötet und ein paar SMD Teile eingelötet werden. Die meisten Bauteile sind auf der Hauptplatine vor bestückt. Der VCO ist ein vollwertiger VCO trackt gut über 6 Okt und klingt toll. Benötigt halt die symmetrischen 12V was im Eurorack Format üblich ist. Die Idee basiert auf dem OscHarm von Rob Hordijk. Unkostenbeitrag incl. Frontplatte und aller Teile 60 SFr.

Infrastructure

We will bring:

  • small laser cutter and I'm happy to give introductions on how to use it with LightBurn. It can cut and engrave paper, wood, leather and black acrylic. (Aaron)
  • Small desktop CNC.
  • 3D-Printers: Creality Ender 3 Klipper & Ender 3 S1
  • PCB Etching equipment and raw PCBs
  • SMD reflow oven and stuff
  • RBB Laser projector (borrowed from Abao)
  • Microscopes
