PreAmp Magic
to make a better signal out of my six separate piezos.. since there exists a lot of cool equipment AND most important, i can’t listen to my tone if it doesn’t run through an echoplex style preamp. period. i use three in a row and thats exactly because i need nothing else, actually. it comes down to being a buffer, a gainstage, a baxandall circuit and generally the precursor of each your hifi’s loudness eq setting. no joke. just google RAY BUTTS and find out where it leads you...
onboard preamp board
i am dreaming of installing the following in my guitar: 24 preamps, three layers, 1/2 inch thickness, eurorack format configuration 6x(3+INS+1)
the guitar will get 6-7 additional ouputs as the best preamp design is quite straightforward, why not overbuild a simple component like an onboard buffer, include some cabling, keep it simple and then get more out of my pedals, that again do the same?
